LUCKY DOG SHAMPOO BARStarting now and through the summer months, Ill be keeping a bottle of neem oil by my bedside to arm my dogs and myself against the mosquito menace. Neem is a biopesticide; applied topically, it doesnt just repel mosquitoes (and fleas, too): It kills them ; naturally. It has absolutely no harmful side effect. Because the neem is absorbed into the bloodstream via the skin, your dog becomes repellent to any creepy crawlies. Fleas and ticks seem to know that neem spells death, so they hate the very smell of it, which is admittedly extremely pungent, not unlike roasted garlic. Dry skin is the culprit of many doggie dermis problems, but neem oil is extremely emollient, so it moisturizes canine skin super-efficiently. With all these benefits of neem, I have crafted my dog shampoo using 20% organic neem oil.
Neem oil not only helps with fleas, ticks but can also help clear up mange and ringworm. Peppermint, lavender and citronella act as flea repellents while shea butter, clay and colloidal oats provide deep conditioning for your dogs skin and coat. Lucky dog!!
