Description
Based on looks alone, the Fjord horse seems more like a large, compact pony with a stocky physique. Despite its contradictory name, the Fjord horse is indeed a pony. The head of the Fjord Horse is predominantly elegant and striking with large, expressive dark eyes that exude gentleness and serenity. The original Fjord Horse came from the Vikings, who captured horses during their raids of the Celtic lands (now England and Ireland) and crossbred these with own horses. The exact racial mix of yesteryear is still not entirely understood today. The specific strengths of this breed lie in their great versatility: from Western riding to therapeutic vaulting and dressage, to showjumping or even drawing a cosy carriage, anything is possible with this breed. Bullyland figurines are made from TVC which has several advantages over PVC figurines. TVC is softer, non-toxic and it is made from a recyclable material unlike PVC.
