Product Description

The Armasight Helios 3-12x42 336 60 Hz Thermal Vision Bi-Ocular is a Mil-Spec Thermal device designed for Military and Law Enforcement applications. It is a Long-range monocular with a 1260 m Detection Range and a 340 m Recognition Range, which is further than other higher priced Thermal Monoculars.  All Helios models use the latest FLIR Tau2 VOx Microbolometer sensors giving you excellent image quality and a Full Colour Display with a number of display modes such as White Hot, Black Hot and various contrasting colours. The Prometheus 3 336 60 Hz uses an affordable 336x256 resolution sensor with a 17 μm pixel size. Its superior detection range is provided by the large 42 mm Germanium Lens which allows far more Long-wave Infrared Light to be collected than with other lower end devices. A 42 mm lens collects 544% more light than a 18 mm lens commonly found on entry-level FLIR devices. Thermal Vision utilizes the Long-wave Infrared light given off by warm objects, people and animals and absolutely zero light is needed for it to work. It can work in the Day or Night and is not susceptible to bright light such as car headlights or street lighting. Thermal vision can see through Snow, Dust, Fog, Haze and other atmospheric obscurants. Other people or animals cannot see you because the devices emits no light while it is on making it ideal for covert observation. Thermal is the ultimate night vision technology which allows you see people or animals from far greater distances than any other night vision. Warm objects glow in the dark and can even be seen through light bushes. The Helios 3-12x42 gives excellent long distance observation capabilities for anti-poaching units, farmers, hunters, security personnel and outdoor enthusiasts.
