Description
Shadowlands is a movie about the love affair between C.S. Lewis (Anthony Hopkins) and American Joy Gresham (Deborah Kara Unger). Lewis is a Oxford don and acclaimed novelist, while Gresham is a woman from a wealthy family. Despite their differences, the two fall in love and spend their days together writing and reading. However, their relationship is cut short when Lewis is forced to return to England due to World War II. Gresham never forgives Lewis for leaving, and the two never speak again.
