The Enhanced Magazine Release for Glock 48 is a steel mag catch that is optimized to work with the Shield Arms S15 magazine. It can cause increased wear on plastic magazines with prolonged use, and OEM magazines may not drop free. Shield Arms recommends using steel on steel or plastic on plastic, and does not recommend using the steel mag catch with plastic OEM magazines. This enhanced magazine release is fully ambidextrous. The previous model featured only right-handed support. This new version is fully ambidextrous.
