The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are new devices that are nearly identical to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They both have an all-glass design, a True-tone display, and a water and dust resistant design. They also have a new aluminium-framed glass body. The two devices have different dimensions, weight, and build, with the iPhone 8 being 6.24 x 3.07 x 0.30 in and the iPhone 8 Plus being 6.48 x 3.98 x 0.30 in. They both have a front/back glass design, a hexa-core processor, and a 12 MP camera on the back. The iPhone 8 has a single camera and the iPhone 8 Plus has a dual camera. The iPhone 8 has a battery that is non-removable and has a charging time of 30 minutes. The iPhone 8 Plus has a battery that is removable and has a charging time of 15 minutes. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both have a USB-C connector.
Like the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus feature an all-glass design, with new aluminium-framed glass bodies. Apple uses a seven-layer colour process for “precise” hue and opacity, and the devices are constructed from the most durable glass ever used in a smartphone.
Aside from the glass design, the two new devices are otherwise nearly identical to the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, available in 4.7 (iPhone 8) and 5.5-inch (iPhone 8 Plus) size options with Touch ID and standard bezels. Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are IP67 water and dust resistant, and the speakers in the device are 25 percent louder with deeper bass.
