Description
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
The product consists of gallo-elagi tannins isolated from extracts of Indian gooseberry( Amla). The efficacy of Amla extracts in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis has been well established in a series of studies in both humans and animals (see for example Eur J Clin Nutr 1988, 11 : 9-39).
INDICATIONS
May be of value in the management of patients with abnormal lipid levels and abnormal blood sugar levels.
CONTRA INDICATIONS
Pregnancy.
WARNINGS
Use under supervision of a healthcare professional if you are on cholesterol-lowering or diabetes medication. Your medications may need to be adjusted if you are using AMLA.
INTERACTIONS
May interact with cholesterol lowering drugs and diabetes medications.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Do not use during pregnancy and lactation since sufficient reliable information regarding AMLAs safety under those conditions has not been proven.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS OF USE
Take one to two capsules daily with meals.
