Description
This Chenin Blanc originates from the slopes of Paarl mountain. The wine was bottled under the Leeuwenjacht brand which was named after the sought-after lions that once roamed the Cape Winelands and were hunted to extinction. Today, the old Leeuwenjacht cellar is a chocolate factory with two lions statues still guarding the front of the building. This wine has tropical and citrus notes on the nose. The palate is creamy and fruity with a hint of oak on the finish. Great to drink on its own or to pair with a spicy dish.
