These lids can be composted in a commercial composting facility. However, should the end up in a landfill, they still offer environmental benefits, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.
They will eventually decompose, but ideally, we recommend that the compost bin is their final destination, wherever possible, to ensure that the earths mineral cycle continues as efficiently as possible.
