This Fotodiox lens mount adapter is made with high standard precision. The leaf spring design in the Adapter holds the lens tight to the camera body ensuring there is no play between the camera and the lens. The all metal design and polished surface is designed to guarantee smooth mounting and long lasting experiences. Rolleiflex SL66 series lenses do not have a focusing mechanism built into the lens itself, for this reason the adapter has a focusing helicoid built into it to allow the lenses to focus whether they are mounted normally or reverse mounted for close-up macro photography. This adapter allows all Rolleiflex SL66 Series lenses (Rollei SL66E, SL66X, SL66SE) to fit on a Nikon Digital camera body.Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.Compatible Cameras (including, but not limited to): Nikon D7100, D7000, D5300, D5200, D5100, D5000, D3300, D3200, D3100, D3000, D800, D800E, D700, D610, D600, D300, D300S D200, D100, D50, D60, D70, D80, D90, D40, D40x, N70s, D4, D4S, D3, D3S, D3X, D2, D2H, D2Hs, D2X, D2Xs, D1, D1H, D1X, DFPlease note, the product pictured may have slight differences in appearance from the actual product such as color, font style, and/or other cosmetic changes due to improvements in design.
From the Manufacturer
If you have a SLR or DSLR camera and other maker/mount lenses, the Fotodiox Mount Adapters allow you to use your lenses on the film/digital camera body. Sharing lenses has some distinct advantages. Certain prime lens just can't be replaced, and you save the cost of purchase on new lenses. Fotodiox offers a range of adapter from large format to smaller format digital adapters. Adapting larger format lens to smaller format sensors (i.e: large format to medium format, medium format to 35mm, 35mm to micro 4/3) provides excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the 'sweet spot' or center of the larger lens image circle.
