Description
Here is the first installment of a major Reynaldo Hahn and Timpani undertaking: the large piano cycle Le Rossignol eperdu. This nightingale with its desperate song is, of course, Hahn himself. Divided into four parts, this 53-piece collection is spread over two CDs. This collection, wrote Hahn, was almost entirely written with tears. One might as well say that this work calls for fingers sensitive to the slightest inflection of the discourse. Billy Eidi is perfectly suited for interpreting these pieces rarely presented on disc, as attested to by his discography, in particular for Timpani.
