Description
This is a 3" (76mm) Flex Hone with 240 grit made of aluminum oxide. It is designed for engine cylinders with a bore size of 2.600" to 3.055" (63mm to 78mm) and is suitable for all engine types and block materials. Made in the USA by FLEX-HONE, it is labeled as a 3.00" diameter but is slightly larger to provide the necessary wall force for honing a 3" bore. It can be used with a 3/8" or 1/2" chuck portable drill or drill press and is self-centering. This patented tool is known for creating a Cross Hatch surface finish with suspended globule working abrasives and is commonly used in engine rebuilding. It has an 8" long shaft.
