DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Micro-Exfoliant
Shake a small amount of THE TAN LAB Micro-Powder Exfoliant into wet palms and activate by rubbing hands together to form a light foamy consistency. Massage onto dry skin using circular motions for a few minutes. Continue to dampen hands or add more powder depending on the desired consistency and exfoliation required. Rinse thoroughly to reveal smoother skin.
Dry skin and prepare for self tan or spray tan application.
Gradual Tanning
Prepare for your gradual tan by shaving or waxing and exfoliating your body.Remember that a well prepared skin will ensure a longer lasting tan. The active ingredients in all our products do not penetrate further than the stratum corneum or dead skin cells and as your skin exfoliates itself naturally, so your tan fades.
Apply your gradual tan to your body as you would apply a body lotion. Use sparingly around the ankles, knees and elbows. Although there is a small percentage of the active ingredients in the gradual tanning lotion, it will be absorbed quicker on drier areas of the body. The Tan Lab Hydration lotion can be blended over these areas after your your Gradual tanning lotion has been applied.
Remember to wash your hands after you have applied your Gradual Tanning lotion!
Once you have washed your hands, pat dry. Apply a tiny amount of The Tan Lab Hydration Lotion to one wrist and as you would rub a dot of perfume, rub your wrists together.This will ensure that the tanning ingredient in the product does not collect here once you have washed your hands.
The final step would be to apply a drop of your Gradual Tanning lotion to the top of one of your hands, now rub the tops of your hands and fingers over each other until it is absorbed.
The Tan Lab Gradual tanning lotion dries quickly as there is only a small percentage of the active tanning ingredients in the product, but it is still advisable to wear loose clothing in the early stages of development.
As all our products work on a two phase development process, remember that your gradual tan will continue to develop and darken over a 24 hour period.
It can be applied every night but it has been found that light exfoliation should take place between applications ensuring there is no DHA overload on the skin, especially on dry areas of the body.You will soon get to know the product and how it develops on your skin. You may only apply the gradual tanning lotion every second or third night until the desired shade is achieved.
Please note: we recommend that you do not use this product on your face,the ingredient that is used to stop the stickiness may clog the pores. Rather use a bit of bronzer on your face that will give you a gorgeous glow to compliment the rest of your tan!
