Katherine Jenkins, the record-breaking multi platinum selling mezzo soprano, today announces the release of her eighth studio album. Planned for an October 17th 2011 release on Warner Bros Records, Daydream sees Katherine return to her musical roots. Her most personal album to date, it draws together music and songs she loves from across classical, traditional, folk and easy pop that have inspired her over the course of her life. Recorded in Los Angeles and London in spring this year, Katherine has once again teamed up with John Shanks in the U.S (credits include Take That & Westlife and Katherines hit 2010 single Tell Me Im Not Dreaming), and Simon Franglen in London (credits include Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and the Oscar nominated soundtrack to James Camerons Avatar). Capturing what audiences love about Katherine her astonishing vocal range, her championing of great songs, always willing to test new ground Daydream reflects on the exciting stage that she now has reached in her life and career. Stand out tracks on the album include the stunning Shanks produced Break It To My Heart, a deeply moving interpretation of the Celtic classic Black Is The Colour, I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables performed in French, a brand new composition of Ave Maria and Katherines stirring tribute to service men and women through the ages A Flower Tells A Story. With album sales in excess of 5 million copies and now with a global fan base since the release of her biggest selling album, 2009s Believe, the record reflects her success and signals the start of the next stage of her life. Having reached a whole new audience in the UK as a judge on two seasons of ITV1s hit entertainment show, Popstar to Operastar and starring in last years Christmas Special of Dr Who, assured and confident, this album shows Katherine at her very best. Daydream, is a gift to her fans, family and friends at home and all over the world.
