   PARROT / PARAKEET 1KG Feed supplement for caged birds    Parrot Parakeet is a food supplement containing proteins, vitamins, minerals and trace elements that may be partially or wholly absent from a cooking mix (grain and pea mix) or a pure seed diet The well balanced nutritional value ensures that chicks grow well and feather beautifully The formula is manufactured from pre-cooked, processing ingredients intended for human consumption, which guarantees maximum digestion and minimal bacterial content and protects the chicks from unnecessary infections METHOD
For a fully balanced, complete diet, mix one measure parrot/parakeet to three measures dry cooking mix (grain and pea mix - please note this mix must be soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes prior to feeding).  Add chopped fruit/veg and also feed 10 to 20g sunflower seed per medium sized parrot per day Feed 35g to 40g of total feed per day (medium sized parrot eg African Grey)
Certain species require additional fat in the form of sunflower seed or nuts (Palm Cockatoos or Macaws)
