Temperature of the food should be between 40C and 45C.
Make sure the food doesnt stay in the crop too long.
Feed 10 -12% of the chicks body weight.
Constant room temperatures are critical.
Newly hatched chicks have a poor immunity 0-6 weeks is critical, avoid any challenges.

Mix with cooled boiled water to a creamy consistency so that if flows off the spoon or passes through a syringe without difficulty
Feed at a temperature of 38 to 40 degrees Celsius as babies refuse food below this temperature
Feed as often as needed to prevent the crop being completely empty, except overnight, when the crop should be allowed to empty at least once NB: Ensure that the crop is emptying overnight as failure to do so is often the first sign of crop infection. In this case, consult your veterinarian immediately.
