Myofascial release is very important to health & well-being. The fascia is the mesh-like connective tissue that covers your muscles and can get knotted and stuck due to our modern lifestyles. It can be released through direct stimulation and pressure improving flexibility & mobility.
Foam rolling is a well-known and popular way to release the fascia surrounding major muscle groups - a practice we highly recommend. However, as most experienced foam rollers know, the traditional tube-like shape can make it difficult to get into some of the harder to reach areas and target smaller muscle groups.
One common solution to this is to use a tennis ball, but that can be uncomfortable and awkward, as it's not specifically designed for massage. To address this very issue, B4 Play have designed this foam ball - made of the same type of materials as a foam roller and slightly larger in size than a tennis ball at 10cm in diameter.
The foam ball is ideal for rolling some more difficult to reach areas like the tops of your hamstrings, pectorals, gluteals and your neck. Having said that, the B4 Play Foam Ball can actually be used to release fascia on any area of the body, and some find it can even substitute for a foam roller entirely.
