What to do:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Surf the perfect wave. Yes, Jeffrey\u2019s Bay is on this stretch of coast and yes, it does produce waves of wonder. But it\u2019s not the only spot for surf lovers: Seal Point in Cape St Francis Bay featured in the 1960\u2019s cult film classic The Endless Summer and is ideal for wave-riders who enjoy uncrowded surfs no matter how impressive the swell. Don\u2019t forget the sunscreen<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Explore Kariega beach. This secluded treasure is part of the quaint seaside resort town of Kenton-on-Sea, tucked between the Kariega and Bushmans rivers. As both rivers are tidal, the beach is ideal for both hikers and young families who want to enjoy the beauty of the coastline. The beach is bordered by a nature reserve that offers some great walks too.<\/li>\n
  3. Saddle up and ride your pony! There are plenty of enterprises offering horse-riding trails along the coast, such as Heavenly Stables near the Sardinia Bay Reserve, where local fauna and flora flourish. Whether you\u2019re an experienced equestrian after wild gallops through the water or a beginner keen for a gentle trot while you take in the scenery, you\u2019ll find a steed to suit your needs.<\/li>\n
  4. Canoe down the Kowie River. This is a great way for the whole family to explore the area. There are places you can hire canoes for kiddies as well as single and double kayaks and paddle skis too. If you have small kids you might want to take a life jacket<\/a> along, just in case they don\u2019t come standard.<\/li>\n
  5. Go sandboarding in Jeffrey\u2019s Bay. Three levels of dune are waiting to tempt you into some rip-roaring sandy fun \u2013 it\u2019s like skiing, just on the beach! \u00a0Instructors are on hand and will help you tackle the easy slopes until you\u2019re ready to go on a more exhilarating ride.<\/li>\n
  6. Tackle the fishing reefs. A charter boat based in Port Alfred\u2019s Small Boat Harbour takes keen anglers through the Kowie River Mouth to the reefs where experienced fishermen will teach you the finer details of off-shore angling. Rods, reels and bait will be provided \u2013 you just need to bring a good sunhat<\/a>, sunscreen, snacks and drinks.
