I did not win the lottery or ordered a Russian mail order bride but I received a rather welcome surprise.\u00a0 The surprise was the small but powerful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/offers\/14777221\/Elonex+500EB+5%22+Colour+e-Reader\/\" target=\"_blank\">Elonex EB500<\/a>. Honestly I had my reservations about this eReader. The 5\u201d screen seemed super small and I wondered if I will ever be able to read an eBook on it. After doing the unthinkable (reading the gadget manual found inside the box) I started to charge the eReader.<\/p>\n<p>The next step was to see if the device is preloaded with any content. Unfortunately the Elonex was as empty as my wallet after Christmas shopping.\u00a0 I proceeded to connect the eReader to my notebook and start to transfer some eBooks I downloaded. I really enjoyed the fact that I could move PDF documents to the Elonex EB500. The Elonex eReader features a colour screen and can also play music and videos. Battery life is rated at 20 hours for music, 4 hours for video, and 6 hours for reading. It measures 154 x 88 x 16mm and weighs 190 grams.<\/p>\n<p>For someone that spends too much time in traffic or wants a source of entertainment that you can fit in a handbag or backpack this eReader is the perfect solution and won\u2019t break the bank.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"Elonex eReader\" src=\"http:\/\/www.the-digital-reader.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Elonex-5in-eBook-500EB-purple-COMBO-300x228.png\" alt=\"Elonex eReader\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ten days ago my life changed.
