Could we be seeing an attempt by <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">HP<\/span><\/a><\/span> to refocus? Let us be honest, ever since their <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/2012\/11\/hp-and-their-autonomy-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">Autonomy acquisition<\/span><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">HP<\/span><\/a><\/span> has been in free-fall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">Hewlett-Packard<\/span><\/a>&#8216;<\/span>s effort to build ARM <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/categories\/f\/149\/Servers\/f\/42\/HP\/0\/tp.weekly\/DESC\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">servers<\/span><\/a><\/span> will get a helping hand from Texas Instruments, who will provide chips based on the latest ARM processor design. Notice that no mention is made of Intel here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The TI chips will be offered as part of Project Moonshot, which is <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">HP&#8217;s<\/span><\/a><\/span> effort to build and deliver low-power servers with either Intel or ARM processors. The first servers are projected to ship commercially in the second quarter and are available only to select customers for testing in <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">HP&#8217;s<\/span><\/a><\/span> labs. Innovation in the<span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/categories\/f\/149\/Servers\/f\/42\/HP\/0\/tp.weekly\/DESC\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">server<\/span><\/a><\/span> industry is a must-have for any enterprise business. <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/categories\/f\/149\/Servers\/f\/42\/HP\/0\/tp.weekly\/DESC\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">Servers <\/span><\/a><\/span>ultimately play a very big role for any business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Is this a calculated first move by Meg Whitman to ensure that <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">HP<\/span><\/a><\/span> becomes an enterprise first business? Is <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=HP&amp;nbs=1\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">HP<\/span><\/a><\/span> going to look at slowly selling off their other divisions? The <span style=\"color: #41b6bd\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/categories\/f\/149\/Servers\/f\/42\/HP\/0\/tp.weekly\/DESC\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #41b6bd\">Server<\/span><\/a><\/span> business is one which HP can dominate as their ProLiant line is deemed an industry standard by enterprises worldwide.
