Today\u2019s date is the 10th<\/sup> of January \u2013 yes I know we are all aware of this information but Lenovo has announced a coffee table PC<\/a> at CES that will raise eyebrows. April\u2019s fools day (1 April worldwide) is one day a year in which you don\u2019t take notice of the news, newspaper and any suspicious looking news. Lenovo is a few months early as a 27\u201d “coffee table” PC is really a stretch for a brand such as Lenovo<\/a>. Lenovo is obviously trying to create a market for a new range of devices and is calling the Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC<\/a> an interpersonal computer. If anyone has a definition for an \u201cinterpersonal computer\u201d please leave a comment on the PriceCheck Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lenovo<\/a> makes some of the most widely used notebooks in the world and has an image of being focused on enterprise happiness. If you are a corporate, Lenovo is in most cases an option for new staff notebooks. So the Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC is a bit out of character for them.<\/p>\n

Comparisons to it can be made being similar to a flat iMac<\/a> which is not standing in its normal straight position. Microsoft (initially called Surface and renamed to Pixel Sense) and Samsung have created similar smart tables in which you can put your devices on and then get instant access. \u00a0The IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC is the size of 8 iPads put alongside one another and weighs 7 kilograms. So it is a monster of a “coffee table”. The concept is not new but would you spend a large amount of money purchasing the “coffee table” PC instead of purchasing iPads or Galaxy Tab 2\u2019s for your loved ones?<\/p>\n

“Coffee table” PC\u2019s<\/a> are seriously a stretch for even the most gadget loving and buying people out there. Is this the start of more home items becoming technological?<\/p>\n
