{"id":404,"date":"2010-09-23T22:40:58","date_gmt":"2010-09-23T20:40:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/?p=404"},"modified":"2010-09-23T22:40:58","modified_gmt":"2010-09-23T20:40:58","slug":"heritage-day-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/blog\/heritage-day-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"Heritage Day 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow is Heritage Day, a public holiday in<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=South+Africa\" target=\"_blank\"> South Africa<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 It means that it has created a long weekend that will provide us all a chance to relax.\u00c2\u00a0 The big thing about tomorrow is that it also gives us to be able to reflect on South Africa and the rainbow nation.<\/p>\n<p>We hosted a very successful <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/2010\/06\/blow-your-vuvuzela-or-sockzela\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soccer World Cup<\/a> in June\/ July and are currently hosting the Champions League cricket. The point that I am trying to make is that we have become a nation that hosts world class events that are very well supported by South Africans. We have our problems (crime and poverty) but those are found in other nations as well not just here.<\/p>\n<p>Heritage day has also been \u00e2\u20ac\u0153rebranded\u00e2\u20ac\u009d as National <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/categories\/302\/Braai+%26+Outdoor+Cooking\/\" target=\"_blank\">Braai<\/a> day.\u00c2\u00a0 Can you imagine not being able to stand around the fire with your friends and looking at the steak\/ tjops that are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search\/?search=grill&amp;search_category_id=8\" target=\"_blank\">on the grill<\/a>?
