Samsung has unveiled<\/a> the next instalment in their flagship Galaxy range, the Galaxy S21, although this iteration comes with some interesting and unexpected changes.<\/p>\n

Three models<\/h3>\n

The new range of devices comprises the Galaxy S21, S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, all of which feature the new overhauled design and a refreshed camera system that wraps around the side of the smartphone.<\/p>\n

New design<\/h3>\n

Design-wise, the Galaxy S21 and S21+ are essentially the same, with each featuring a lighter build, and compact 6.2-inch edge-to-edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display, while the Galaxy S21+ sports an expanded 6.7-inch display and a larger battery.<\/p>\n

As for the new camera design, the Galaxy S21 series introduces a Contour Cut Camera housing that blends into the device\u2019s metal frame, being less obtrusive when operating the device.<\/p>\n

S21 and S21+ will be available in a range of colours, including a new signature colour: Phantom Violet. And each device is coated with a haze finish on the back for a sophisticated look and feel.<\/p>\n

Under the hood<\/h3>\n

All three devices are powered by the Samsung Exynos 2100 chipset, which is far more power-efficient than previous-generation chips, along with 8GB of RAM on the S21 and S21+. The S21 Ultra features 12GB of RAM.<\/p>\n

The battery capacities of the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra are 4,000mAh, 4,800mAh, and 5,000mAh, respectively.<\/p>\n

Cameras<\/h3>\n

Samsung\u2019s Galaxy S21 Ultra boasts a quad-lens rear camera system (108MP + 12MP + 10MP + 10MP), which includes ultra-wide and wide lenses in addition to two optical lenses for dual zoom support.<\/p>\n

The primary sensor on the Galaxy S21 boasts an impressive 108MP resolution and is capable of recording 8K video at 30fps and capturing great low-light shots.<\/p>\n

Samsung\u2019s Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 smartphones have triple-lens rear cameras (64MP + 12MP + 12MP) which also supports 8K video recording, as well as a single front-facing camera (10MP). embedded in a punch-hole cutout in the display.<\/p>\n

Starting on 5 February 2021, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will be available through Samsung.com, carriers and retailers online.<\/p>\n
