An American icon in its own right, Vans<\/a> often uses its collaborations to pay tribute to American culture. We’ve seen plenty of great Vans brand collaborations come to life over the last few years and this latest collaboration is one of the best ones yet. Hold onto your hats, Vans fans, because this one might just have you eating your shorts with excitement.<\/p>\n

For over 30 years, The Simpsons television show has been a big part of pop culture, providing hilarious insight into suburban family life. This season, Vans is honouring The Simpsons with a vibrant collection of footwear, apparel and accessories that celebrate iconic moments from the historic series.<\/p>\n

The Vans x Simpsons collection celebrates the Simpsons family (Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie) with depictions and references that diehard fans will appreciate. Key pieces from the collection include the Sk8-Hi and Men\u2019s Chukka Pro. The entire Simpsons family makes an appearance on the outside of the Sk8-Hi, with the iconic checkerboard print on the medial in signature shades of blue and yellow.<\/p>\n

The Men\u2019s Chukka Pro pays homage to Bart Simpson, the 10-year-old prankster. A Bart-shaped skull and crossbones silhouette appear on the lateral side of the shoe. The Bart Chukka Pro is reinforced with Vans\u2019 Duracap for added durability for skating around town. Bart\u2019s pranks carry over to the pack\u2019s Sk8-Low style which showcases a red brick medial tagged in Bart\u2019s \u201cEl Barto\u201d signature plus a graffitied self-portrait.<\/p>\n

The footwear assortment is rounded out with four more styles that pay homage to beloved Simpsons characters. The Bouviers occupy an Old Skool colourway, Scratchy gets a toon-filled Era style and Lisa is featured on a lavender Sk8-Hi. Rounding out the footwear collection is a Slide-On sandal inspired by the famous pink Homer Simpson doughnuts.<\/p>\n

With the collection\u2019s apparel line, fans of the show will find a variety of women\u2019s and men\u2019s styles. For women, there’s plenty to choose from. The Lisa Fleece features a purple colour block fleece crew with raglan sleeves and bright \u201cLisa Simpson for President\u201d on the back and front chest. The accompanying Simpsons Check Backpack features Vans\u2019 iconic checkerboard print in Simpsons-inspired yellow, featuring close-ups of Lisa\u2019s face and a rubberised logo patch on the front zip pocket. The Lisa look is complete with a \u201cLisa 4 Prez\u201d short-sleeved tee.<\/p>\n

For the men\u2019s apparel, The Simpsons short-sleeve tee features a logo on the chest and a family scene on the back, a tribute to the show\u2019s famous couch gag intro. Standing out is the blue Bart-inspired hoodie with a Bart skull design on the back and chest. For warmer weather, The Simpsons long-sleeve tee features \u201cEl Barto\u201d fleeing with graffiti can in hand, and the knit short-sleeve tee (a Pro Skate exclusive) is covered in Bart Simpson skull and crossbones. Last, but not least, Krusty stands out in a bright yellow long-sleeve tee with Krusty Burger logos on the left sleeve and menu-board printed on the back.<\/p>\n

The collection offers a variety of short-sleeve tees and can be accessorised with a yellow checkerboard bucket hat or bright red El Barto snapback.<\/p>\n
