Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carmag.co.za\/news\/peugeot-south-africa-boss-confirms-new-bakkie-for-local-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CARmag.co.za<\/a>,\u00a0Peugeot Citro\u00ebn South Africa&#8217;s managing director,\u00a0Xavier Gobille, confirmed the soon-to-be-revealed\u00a0rugged model would be offered in South Africa very soon.<\/p>\n<p>The new Peugeot branded pick-up will be revealed in the coming months and will only be available in certain markets, with South Africa being one of them. While there are few details surrounding Peugeot&#8217;s new bakkie offering, we do know that the\u00a0French car manufacturer recently\u00a0signed an agreement with Chinese firm ChangAn Automobile to co-develop a new one-tonne pick-up.<\/p>\n<p>But it remains to be seen if this is the bakkie we can expect here in South Africa, in June 2019, ChangAn revealed its double-cab version of the new pick-up badged as the &#8220;F70&#8221;. With rugged good looks, the\u00a0F70 is indeed the type of bakkie that would appeal to the local South African market. If\u00a0ChangAn&#8217;s F70 is anything to go by, it&#8217;s clear that this new bakkie offering will signal the beginning of a new market focus for\u00a0Peugeot South Africa as it aims to change brand perception in the SA market.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Love cars?
