It\u2019s quick, simple, and oh-so-delicious!<\/p>\n<h3>Bobotie, Banana, Chutney and Coriander Pesto Braai Broodjie<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-25798 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/BraaBroodtjies-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Braai Broodjies\" width=\"708\" height=\"472\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/BraaBroodtjies-300x200.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/BraaBroodtjies-104x69.jpg 104w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/BraaBroodtjies.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 708px) 100vw, 708px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Bobotie Ingredients:<\/h4>\n<p>3 Onions \u2013 finely chopped<br \/>\n4 Garlic Cloves \u2013 finely chopped<br \/>\n15ml Fresh Ginger- grated<br \/>\n1 Tbsp Curry Powder<br \/>\n1 tsp Turmeric<br \/>\n1 tsp Ground Coriander<br \/>\n1 tsp Ground Ginger<br \/>\n1 tsp Ground Cumin<br \/>\n1 kg Lamb Mince<br \/>\n2 Slices White Bread soaked in milk<br \/>\n2 Tbsp Lemon Juice<br \/>\n2 Tbsp Apricot Jam<br \/>\n2 Tbsp Chutney<br \/>\n2 Tbsp Soft Brown Sugar<br \/>\n50ml Raisins<br \/>\n50ml Flakes Almonds<br \/>\n50ml Dried Apricots<br \/>\n50ml Dried Cranberries<br \/>\nBay Leaf<br \/>\nLemon leaves<br \/>\nSalt<br \/>\nBlack Pepper<br \/>\nOil<\/p>\n<h4>Method:<\/h4>\n<p>1. In a large saucepan, saut\u00e9 the onions and garlic in a little oil until translucent<br \/>\n2. Add the spices and fry for a minute, stirring to release all the flavours<br \/>\n3. Add the mince and cook until the meat starts to change colour.<br \/>\n4. Add the bread, apricots, almonds, cranberries, lemon juice, jam, chutney, and sugar.<br \/>\n5. Stir thoroughly to mix all the ingredients.<br \/>\n6. Cook, stirring frequently to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot, adding a little water if it becomes too dry for approximately 30 minutes<br \/>\n7. Transfer into an oven-proof dish and flatten the surface<br \/>\n8. Beat the egg and milk and pour over the meat<br \/>\n9. Stick the leaves into the top of the dish<br \/>\n10. Bake in an oven set at 180\u00b0C for 45 minutes<br \/>\n11. Set aside to rest for 10 minutes<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients for the braai\u00a0broodjie:<\/h4>\n<p>2 Slices Sourdough Bread<br \/>\nButter<br \/>\nBobotie<br \/>\nBanana (sliced)<br \/>\nChutney<br \/>\nCoriander Pesto<\/p>\n<h4>Method:<\/h4>\n<p>1. Butter the bread on one side<br \/>\n2. Spread the Bobotie on the buttered side of the bread until it covers it evenly about 5mm thick<br \/>\n3. Slice the banana and place on the Bobotie<br \/>\n4. Spread the chutney evenly over the banana<br \/>\n5. Spread the second slice of bread with Coriander Pesto<br \/>\n6. Close the sandwich and place in a \u201ctoeklap\u201d (clamshell) braai-grid.<br \/>\n7.
