Originally a celebrated by Americans a day after Thanksgiving, this \u2018shopping festival\u2019 has taken the<br \/>\nonline world by storm and brought all the brick and mortars stores along with it.<\/p>\n<p>Q: Just how big is it really?<br \/>\nA: Big. Really big.<\/p>\n<p>As one of South Africa\u2019s largest fashion retailers, Zando saw an increase of orders by the factor of 16<br \/>\ncompared to an average day in 2017 on Black Friday, 24 November. This was a record for Zando<br \/>\nBlack Friday sales, which tumble year on year. To provide some context on the scale, Zando claims<br \/>\nto have sold 80 items a minute during Black Friday, with 5 times more people visiting the website and<br \/>\napp combined \u2500 reaching over 22 million South Africans with marketing material of some form.<br \/>\nLogistically, an order was dispatched every 4 seconds, staggeringly. As a visual representation, if<br \/>\nthey were to stack up all of the parcels and boxes that were sent out on that day alone, it would scale<br \/>\nto be 25 times higher than Table Mountain.<\/p>\n<p>What can be expected this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zando.co.za\/black-friday\/deals-2018\/\">Black Friday<\/a> on Zando?<\/p>\n<p>Zando is going all out and offering up to 90% off on Black Friday. With over 200,000 items onsite,<br \/>\nincluding fashion, shoes, sportswear, beauty and homeware, Zando is selling everything! Look out for<br \/>\ndeals such as sneakers and heels from R99 and major brands like adidas and Puma being<br \/>\ndiscounted at up to 60% off. With so many more great deals expected, Zando\u2019s Head of Mobile,<br \/>\nGraham du Plessis, has some tips on the best strategy to avoid missing out:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMake sure you download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zando.co.za\/online-fashion-shopping-app\/\">app<\/a> and keep your device close on-hand.
