The superhero movie genre is thriving in 2018 \u2013 with Black Panther<\/em> and Avengers: Infinity War<\/em> already breaking box-office records; but we’re just getting started! There are a host of other superhero adventures coming your way this year, and we’ve rounded up the 5 most anticipated:<\/p>\n

Deadpool 2<\/h3>\n

Release date: <\/strong>18 May 2018<\/p>\n

The merc with the mouth will be cussing his way into theatres with Ryan Reynolds reprising his breakout role as Wade Wilson\/Deadpool. After last year’s runway success, Fox Studios is continuing with the\u00a0Deadpool<\/a><\/em>\u00a0universe by adding more characters to the story \u2013 starting with famed\u00a0X-Men<\/em><\/a> character Cable, the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey. He\u2019s a super soldier with various mutant abilities including telepathy, telekinesis and the ability to manipulate technology; and Cable will be played by none other than Josh Brolin. The studio hasn\u2019t released a huge amount regarding the plot, but Deadpool and Cable are likely to be at odds in whatever story unfolds, but they may not be traditional adversaries. The directors have confirmed that the overall comedic tone will be maintained and that they\u2019re planning for a third Deadpool<\/em> movie \u2013 signalling that they\u2019re heavily invested in the success of the character.<\/p>\n
