The current range of BlackBerry products has not got the world on fire in terms of sales. RIM is facing the biggest challenge since their arrival as a cellphone manufacturer. The sales numbers in North America and Europe have not been inspiring. The importance of these new products\u00a0 have big implications for RIMs future.<\/p>\n<p>In South Africa though, they are arguably the most popular cellphone manufacturers.\u00a0 The BlackBerry Torch (disclaimer: I own one) has been a hit and has given me hope for BlackBerry. The 2 new phones are family members to the Torch. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/offers\/23265229\/BlackBerry+Torch+9810\/\" target=\"_blank\">BlackBerry Torch 9810<\/a> and the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/offers\/23265230\/BlackBerry+Torch+9860\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Torch 9860<\/a> both feature the newest version of the BlackBerry operating system, version 7.\u00a0 The BlackBerry Torch 9860 does not seem to be a slider but rather sports a bigger touch screen.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1821\" style=\"width: 199px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/BlackBerry-torch-9810.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1821\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1821\" title=\"BlackBerry Torch 9810\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.pricecheck.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/BlackBerry-torch-9810-189x300.jpg\" alt=\"BlackBerry Torch 9810\" width=\"189\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1821\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BlackBerry Torch 9810<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I have one problem though, which was highlighted by a colleague: It is almost impossible to know which one is the newer version of the Torch 9800.
