The new BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series models write the next chapter in this success story with even sharper styling and revised suspension.<\/p>\n
Accentuating the sporty character<\/strong><\/p>\n Restyled LED headlights take the place of the outgoing cars\u2019 xenon units. And all models in the range are equipped with LED front foglamps as standard. The LED rear lights fitted on the BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series for the first time give extra impact to the car\u2019s powerful looks. Modified air intakes, line-specific applications and the new rear apron add further striking touches.<\/p>\n Moving inside, the new electroplated detailing, chrome applications and centre console in high-gloss black reinforce the exclusive, high-quality feel. Another visual highlight is the double stitching on the instrument panel, while three new upholstery colours together with three new interior trim strips provide even greater choice when it comes to personalising the interior\u2019s design.<\/p>\n The two new exterior paint finishes Snapper\u00a0Rocks\u00a0Blue and Sunset\u00a0Orange are available exclusively for the new BMW\u00a04 Series models, and there is also one new model-specific wheel design each for the Sport\u00a0Line, Luxury\u00a0Line and M\u00a0Sport equipment lines. An abundance of additional equipment options offers ample scope for tailoring the car to individual tastes.<\/p>\n Revised suspension<\/strong><\/p>\n The new BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series\u00a0Coupe and BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series\u00a0Gran\u00a0Coupe now come with a stiffer suspension set-up delivering even sportier handling without any loss of ride comfort. Both the lateral and longitudinal dynamics have been improved, regardless of the load on board. This applies not only to the standard suspension, but also to the M\u00a0Sport suspension and the Adaptive\u00a0suspension. All new BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series models now boast even more assured straight-line stability and more communicative steering. High-performance tyres are available as a factory-fitted option for all models from the BMW\u00a0430i upwards.<\/p>\n A variety of models and powertrains<\/strong><\/p>\n The power output of the petrol-engined BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series model variants ranges from 135\u00a0kW in the BMW\u00a0420i up to 240 kW in the BMW\u00a0440i (fuel consumption combined: 7.5\u00a0\u2013\u00a05.5\u00a0l\/100\u00a0km; CO2 emissions combined: 154\u00a0\u2013\u00a0127\u00a0g\/km). When it comes to the diesel model, meanwhile, power is at 140\u00a0kW\u00a0(fuel consumption combined:\u00a04.0 \u2013 4.2\u00a0l\/100\u00a0km; CO2 emissions combined: 111\u00a0\u2013\u00a0106\u00a0g\/km).<\/p>\n New navigation and instrumentation displays<\/strong><\/p>\n The optional Navigation system\u00a0Professional for the new BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series now features an interface with large tile-style control pads that is even easier to use. The control pads can be arranged as desired and display a constantly updated version of the linked menu content, making operation even more intuitive for users.<\/p>\n The BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series range can be optionally fitted with the Multifunctional Instrument Display, giving the driver the choice of different visualisation options for all displays depending on the driving experience mode selected.<\/p>\n Sharper design for the BMW\u00a0M4, too<\/strong><\/p>\n The BMW M4\u00a0Coupe and BMW M4\u00a0Convertible now come as standard with the adaptive full-LED headlights. And the newly designed full-LED rear lights again freshen up appearances and inject technical appeal. Besides this, a number of styling touches have been added to give the cabin of the sportiest BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series\u00a0variants an even more sophisticated air. All of the petrol engines and the four-cylinder diesel unit fitted in the new BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series range stem from the latest BMW\u00a0EfficientDynamics\u00a0family of engines and are equipped with BMW\u00a0TwinPower\u00a0Turbo\u00a0technology. There are three petrol engines (BMW\u00a0420i, BMW\u00a0430i and BMW\u00a0440i) and one diesel option (BMW\u00a0420d) available for all of the new BMW\u00a04\u00a0Series models \u2013 except for the BMW 4 Series Convertible, which is only offered in the petrol engine derivatives.<\/p>\n
