And, companies have been quick to cash in on nostalgia in recent years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The last few months have been particularly filled with re-launches of old tech devices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">From a revamped Nokia 3310, to a new Tamagotchi, here are a few nostalgic gadgets which have been launched recently\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">1. The Nintendo NES Classic Edition<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Long-gone is the time that Nintendo led the console market. But, this doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019ve forgotten the fun and joy of our first gaming devices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Many of Nintendo\u2019s products have an air of nostalgia. But, none more so than the NES Classic Edition. This product is a mini version of the console that initiated many into the world of video games \u2013 1985\u2019s NES console.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The mini console comes with 30 installed games, including classic fan favourites like Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Unfortunately, reports indicate that Nintendo will stop the production of this product in favour of a newer one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you would like this particular dose of nostalgia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricecheck.co.za\/search?search=nintendo+nes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">get your hands on it<\/a> sooner than later.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">2. The New Nokia 3310 <\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There is always a risk when re-launching an intensely loved product. After all, most fans still choose to pretend that the re-launched Volkswagen Beetle never happened.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So, it\u2019s natural that there was some trepidation when Nokia announced that it would be <a href=\"http:\/\/compareguru.co.za\/what-can-you-expect-from-the-new-nokia-3310\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">releasing a new 3310<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There\u2019s no doubt that the company was cashing in on the continued adoration of the original model, which has become something of a legend among tech-lovers and consumers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It was earlier this year that Nokia finally unveiled its new 3310 in a variety of colours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The verdict is out on whether the new version does justice to the original. This since the product has only seen a limited release in certain markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">However, here\u2019s hoping there\u2019s another legend in the making.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">3. The Tamagotchi 2017<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Forget tazos or Pokemon cards, if you were a kid growing up in the 90s, a Tamagotchi was the ultimate aspiration and source of envy for youngsters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">These digital pet keychains were subject to our adoration and, eventually, neglect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The craze has long-since passed, but the product has endured in different iterations in Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">However, Bandai Namco recently announced that they will be re-launching the original Tamagotchi with a slightly altered look.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Will old fans return to this beloved gadget? Or, will a new generation of Tamagotchi-lovers be created?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We\u2019ll have to wait until its release to find out.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">4. Samsung Galaxy Folder 2<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Phonemakers have increasingly looked to the noughties for inspiration for new gadgets.
