With dimensions of 126 x 97 x 64 mm and weighing 485g (body only), the Nikon D3000 features a 3 inch LCD and the same button layout featured on previous models with a 4-way D-pad used for navigation.
At 10.3 megapixels you can print 8x10 inch full resolution pictures with some room for cropping, with high quality enlargements up to poster size. The EXPEED image processing system delivers Nikon&s acclaimed image quality criteria of rich accurate colours, smooth skin gradations and exceptional detail with the minimum of noise.
The D3000 shoots in burst mode at 3 frames per second and has a usable ISO range from 100 to 1600, expandable down to 3200ISO. Autofocus uses 3 points, with 3 settings: single servo, which focuses for a static point and then stops; continuous servo, which continuous to adjust focus while your shutter is semi-depressed; and Auto-servo, which is a predictive focus tracking system that adjusts between single and continuous servo according to the subject status.
