Description
We don't get a lot of coffee from Papua New Guinea in South Africa, but the examples we've had the chance to taste have been delicious & unique - this latest offering from Originis no exception.
This coffee is grown by a group of smallholder farmers who collectively call themselves Roots #1, and number437 at last count. These farmers are dedicated to improving their livelihoods through the production of high quality Arabica coffee, using natural growing methods. Under the leadership of Tony Takah, one of their members, they have banded together to deliver coffee to a local wet mill.
There are a lot of wonderful characteristicsto enjoyin this single origin. It has a wide range of stone & tropical fruit flavours to experience. We even found hints of banana in the cupping bowl, in addition to the litchi & plum notes mentioned in the roaster's notes. Its mouth feelis deliciously creamy and seems to linger long after your last sip. We would highly recommend it as an espresso, pour-over or Aeropress.
