The DStv Smart LNB has been specially designed and manufactured for the growing needs of non-commercial DStv installations. We recommend the DStv Smart LNB be used for all DStv Explora and all XtraView intallations.

- Multiple decoders can be connected to the DStv Smart LNB without the need for a multiswitch / DStv Switch (which means you save money).
- The cable goes directly from the DStv Smart LNB to the decoder.
The result is
- A shorter cable run.
- Decoders can now be placed in different rooms (at the moment, many decoders need to be in the same room as the switch). This means a more flexible installation (including easier connections between HD decoders and HD TVs via HDMI cables).
- If you install a DStv Smart LNB, you don*t have to change your LNB when upgrading to XtraView.
