Additionally, the adjustable head mount offers hands-free viewing with a handy flip-up option. The standard optical configuration of the NVG7 establishes unity (1:1) magnification for the operator, which allows for a realistic view with well-balanced depth-perception. Where mission-critical requirements mandate increased optical power, The NVG7 can be fitted with an optional high-powered a-focal accessory lens to produce higher levels of (3 or 5x) magnification. The low-light performance of the NVG7 is remarkable. Substantial ranges of detection and recognition are provided by a high quality image intensifier and a premium multicoated all-glass optical system. The integral IR illuminator is capable of generating ample auxiliary illumination for viewing in complete darkness.
