Ergonomics and Design

The rugged body of the D10, which offers water resistance to 10m, withstands a drop onto a hard surface from up to 1.22m, operates in temperatures as low as -10 °C, and is fully protected from dust, opens up a whole new world of photographic adventure.

Two optional strap sets & one for shoulder and neck, one with a carabiner strap - keep your hands free and your camera within easy reach during activities such as climbing and snorkelling. You can also customise the PowerShot D10 with a colourful front cover set. With dimensions of 103.6 x 66.9 x 48.8mm and a weight of 190g the camera fits very easily into a pocket.

Framing, reviewing and sharing shots are equally easy with a super-bright 2.5& LCD screen. Night Display mode aids visibility in low light, while a selectable Grid Line display helps with composition. 

Picture quality and lens

With a 12.1 Megapixel sensor, you can capture every scene in vivid detail & ready for printing at sizes as large as A3+, or cropping to perfection without losing the detail needed for larger prints.

Scenes can be brought closer with the 3x optical zoom which has built-in optical image stabilisation, and an additional digital zoom magnification of up to 12x. As well as powering Face Detection Technology, Canon&s DIGIC 4 processor provides fast response times, superb image quality and colour reproduction.

DIGIC 4 also delivers advanced noise reduction & ensuring that images remain sharp and clear.

Key features

The Smart Auto feature uses a selection of shooting modes, which include ones especially designed for scenes with kids or pets, or that are indoors, to automatically achieve the right settings for any scene.

A suite of Face Detection technologies detects up to 35 faces in a scene and adjusts focus, exposure, flash settings and white balance accordingly. Motion Detection Technology uses changes in scene information and scene brightness to accurately identify subject motion and then find the optimal ISO level to match the scene.

Face Select & Track allows a single face in a crowd to be selected and tracked as the main subject, and Face Self-Timer takes a shot when an extra face is detected in the frame & making group photos easy. Automatic Red-Eye Correction, which can be used in either shooting or playback mode, fixes the red-eye effect caused by flash.

Supplement your photos with smooth, 30fps VGA video clips. A special Long Play mode lets you store twice the regular amount of footage on your memory card.
