5 Reasons I love my Nexus 7 (was going to be 5, but could not resist adding a 6th reason): 1) Speed The quad core CPU delivers unbelievably speedy performance. From tablet gaming and resource hungry apps to HD movie playback, the Nexus 7 handles it all with ease. 2) Size & Weight The 7” screen and 340g weight makes this tablet convenient for travelling. The size of the tablet is perfect for typing when on the move, especially when typing with the tablet in portrait mode. My biggest concern was that the screen might be too small for reading. This, however, is not the case as the size & weight makes it more convenient to hold for prolonged periods. The fact that the Kindle Fire (made for reading) is designed in the 7” form factor further proves this. 3) Screen The 1280x800 pixel screen is beautiful to look at. It has almost the same amount of pixels on this 7” screen as the average laptop has on a 15” screen, meaning more pixels per square inch and a sharper, crisper image. The colours are also amazingly vivid which adds to the enjoyment of looking at photos on this tablet. 4) Made by Google The combination of quality hardware from Asus and a clean, uncluttered operating system from Google allows me to have only the apps on there that I want on there and no manufacturer forced apps. 5) Apps & Storage With 32GB internal storage, this tablet has plenty of storage space and it is very unlikely that any person would fill that space through installing various applications. The Google Play store has over 700 000 apps to choose from. I would be very surprised if any person does not find an app that changes the way they do business or how they perform their day to day activities. My favourite apps are: Dropbox, Aldiko Reader, Gmail, Amazon Kindle, Android Assistant and WiFi File Transfer. 6) Price The bigger screen is an advantage for most, but having experienced the feel of both a 10” Tablet and a 7”, I consider the bigger screen to be somewhat of a disadvantage. The increase in size and weight makes it less portable, more difficult to type on when the Tablet is not laid down on your lap or a desk and more strenuous when holding for prolonged periods of reading.
