Description
The product is a compostable lid for a coffee cup. It is made of a corn-based lining called PLA (Polylactic Acid) and is printed with paper from FSC managed plantations. The product can be composted in a commercial composting facility, but should the end up in a landfill, it still offers environmental benefits, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.
These lids fit the single and double wall cups, and are also made of a corn-based lining called PLA (Polylactic Acid) with paper from FSC managed plantations.
These lids can be composted in a commercial composting facility. However, should the end up in a landfill, they still offer environmental benefits, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. They will eventually decompose, but ideally, we recommend that the compost bin is their final destination, wherever possible, to ensure that the earth’s mineral cycle continues as efficiently as possible.
