The Vivotek MD8563-DEH is a compact 2-megapixel network camera designed for transportation applications. It is EN50155 TX compliant and has an IP67-rated rugged design, making it resistant to shocks, vibration, humidity, dust, and temperature fluctuations. The camera also has an IK10-rated metal housing for protection against vandalism. It features Wide Dynamic Range Technology and 3D Noise Reduction Technology for improved visibility in high contrast lighting and low-light conditions. The camera also has VIVOTEK's Smart Stream II technology for reduced bandwidth and storage consumption. It can be powered by PoE or DC power and has a MicroSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot for local recording. The camera also has a video rotation feature for wider vertical coverage in corridor scenarios.

The cameras also provide two power input options: PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) and DC power, providing users with installation flexibility. In order to facilitate local storage and data redundancy the camera is also equipped with a MicroSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot for local recording. And to further add to the flexibility of this compact camera, in corridor scenarios, its video rotation feature can provide wider vertical coverage for more depth and a larger useful field of view.
