Gamblin Flake White Replacement is a nontoxic alternative to Flake White that is leaner and has a beautiful opalescent quality. It is also a terrific underpainting white and has all the working properties of traditional Flake White. Flake White Replacement doesn't suffer from the fast drying time of traditional formulations, which contributes to the cracking of oil paintings over time.
