The Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter allows for the use of Kodak Retina Rangefinder and Retina Reflex Lenses on Sony Alpha NEX E-Mount digital bodies. It is made with high precision and a leaf spring design to ensure a tight fit between the lens and camera body. The all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and durability. This adapter also has a built-in aperture control tab for manual control over the lens iris. However, automatic functions such as diaphragm and auto-focusing will not work with this adapter. The aperture markings on the adapter are based on a 50mm f/1.9 lens, so they may not accurately represent the true aperture used with other lenses. This adapter is compatible with various Retina Reflex and Instamatic Reflex lenses from brands such as Rodenstock and Schneider-Kreuznach.
If you have a SLR or DSLR camera and other maker/mount lenses, the Fotodiox Mount Adapters allow you to use your lenses on the film/digital camera body. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.
Note: The aperture markings on the adapter are based on a 50mm f/1.9 lens; when used with any other lens the aperture markings will be off (will not represent the true aperture used), however you will still have full range over the lens iris.
