ER4047 Flux Cored is one of the most popular aluminum brazing rods. It is 12% silicon alloyed for a lower melting point and higher fluidity than ER4043. No additional flux is needed and can be used directly with Oxy-Acetylene/ Oxy-MAPP flame brazing or induction welding. ER4047 Flux Cored can also be used as a welding filler metal in place of ER4043 to provide increased silicon in the weld metal, which will minimize hot cracking and produce higher fillet weld shear strengths. ER4047 Flux Cored is recommended for welding alloys 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 3005, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951, 7005 and cast alloys 710.0 and 711.0. Its self-fluxing improves the welding quality, simplifies operation and increases producing rate. ER4047 aluminum flux cored brazing rods are made with environment-friendly and non-corrosive flux. Doesnt need to be washed wash after welding, no acid cleaning needed and causes little harm to the base metal. Welding Parameters: ? Sand the welding position and work piece (oil, rust and oxide must be cleaned away). ? Heat welding position evenly by moving welding torch. ? When temperature reaches 1058 F, (570C), flux cored rod should be added. Then rod melts, and make it flow into the joint evenly. ? When the welding seam is full, move torch away. ? Cool down.
